Isata 3 - TV question

2018 Isata 3 FW. Does the the front TV pivot out from the wall? Trying to plug some cables in the back but can't seem to get it swivel away from the wall. I pulled somewhat hard but don't want to break anything. Is there a trick to getting it away from the wall? Thanks

Yes. It pulls out, pivots and tilts. To get it to pull out you need to release a vertical latch. The latch has a small chain hanging down from it. Just locate the chain, free it up, and pull it straight down. That will release the bracket lock and the TV will come out from the wall and pivot.

Got a flashlight and looked all over. Could not find a latch release or chain. I note that you have a 2019. Could the 2018 model be different?

Looks like the coaches that have the cabover option, as mine has, do not allow for a swivel TV up front. Just wanted to mention in case others have the same question.

Depends....do you have a cabover bunk or entertainment center?

Cabover bunk does not pivot out. EC does (now at least).

It's a catch 22. When you run an articulating arm it rattles and people complain. So we tried a fixed mount and then people complained it was fixed. So we have run both over the years. Normally the articulating arm is pretty obvious.

Fixed mount will mounted much tighter to the wall. As I recall that is a "top mount, bottom catch" fixed bracket. So the bottom has a release that will let you tip the bottom out and pull it off the top.

Own a 2018 Isata3 FW and like the swivel out ability on the Entertainment Center (without cabover bunk). When traveling I just push it back into harness or at times have left it unharnessed but quite honestly no noise or problem with how it handles the road. I'd hate not to have that ability.

I have a 2019 Isata 3 FW with cab over bunk, and the front tv was a fixed mount. I took the tv down, unscrewed the mount, and then mounted a pull-out/articulating arm mount, and love it. Just be sure that the new mount is secured using short/fat drywall-type mounting screws so as not to pierce through the outer fiberglass. When traveling the tv can be pushed back flat against the wall and secured into position with a Velcro strap.
