Isata 3: under the shower pan

When the dealer fixed a drain leak in the shower, I asked if they could do anything to make the pump quieter. I didn't notice much difference in the noise level but I don't know how loud they normally are. I later had to remove the front cover to find the source of another leak (a lot more caulk around the door frame in front fixed that) and I found that some packing box foam (it had indents where items had been placed) had been slipped under the shower by the dealer. Some of it was very close to the pump and not helping reduce noise, so I pulled it out. I need to confirm: is there supposed to be a sheet of foam above the pump and under the pan? I assume it makes it more rigid, but if the dealer added it I might pull it out. The pump sounds like there is a rapid, pulsing striking of the rv floor. Not too bad in the bathroom but very loud by the bed.

I had a similar thumping in my Isata 5 when I ran the water in the head. Changed the aerator and all went away. I subsequently cleaned all the aerators on board. Seems to have been a lot of dirt from manufacturing.

Yes. We use a wood frame, but then styrofoam on top of that so the shower floor is supported but soft/without the wood framed edges. You can't use plywood, because the shower pan is not perfectly flat.
