Isata 5 power cord reel

I finally got around to installing the cord reel. Moreryde has a tall skinny model and a short wide one. I chose the tall model to minimize its footprint and save space. I originally wanted to install it in the rear compartment but that would eliminate the possibility of using the pass through storage for my zero gravity chairs. It really does not matter because you have to drag the cord to the other side where it plugs in anyway. You have to add some sort of floor plate to mount it up. I used some 1/2 inch ply. The reel works very well and no more python wrestling.

Hey Scott, looks good, I just bought the same reel, did you end up mounting it to the floor of the compartment or just the plywood and setting in there?

Isata 5 power cord reel

The reel is mounted to the plywood and the plywood is secured from underneath with some stainless steel screws and washers.

Great job, thanks Scott for the post and photos. Now to see if I can get a powered cord reel in there?

Very nice Scott. I think your 36DS was finished 2 months before mine. Do you have three compartments on the passenger side or two compartments on both sides?
