What do you do when you only have one day off between now and the rally? Why install under glow LED lighting. I thought this would be a pretty easy install but it turned out to be very time consuming. I opted for the Boogie lights LED's as they have good support and a good reputation. They are more expensive but you get what you pay for . The LED's are fastened to the coach by a 3M adhesive backing. This is where the first problem reared its head. There is no consistent flat surface running along the perimeter of the coach. In addition, the outer lower metal rail paint quality was lacking so I was not confident they would stick for very long on that surface even with POR15. The solution was to install 3/4" aluminum channel along the perimeter of the coach. It was the most time consuming part of the job. Once that was done I cleaned the rails and applied the 3M promoter. Once the LED's were installed, I then tackled the tedious process of routing all of the wires to the front bay where I mounted the controller. The controller has a nice RF remote and also comes with a free app for IOS and android. The system works really well and I cant wait to try it at night. First chance will be at the Rally.
The channel looks like what they sale for the adjustable shelving? What did you use to attach the channel to the chassis? I was thinking pop rivets, but didn’t know if there were drillable surfaces to attach where it would be somewhat level? Very cool.

You will need the HD under glow kit with bluetooth controller. It comes with two 16' strips and you need one with 50" power lead. The other 16" strip will come with a 15' lead. In addition you will need one 8' strip with a 25" lead , one 2 foot strip with a 15 foot lead( under the step) and one 12 foot strip with a 15" lead. That will take care of it. Just call Brian at Boogie Lights and he will take care of you. You will need 6 strips of the 8' 3/4" channel.
FYI.. I covered the coach and stopped at the front of the steps and the front bay on the drivers side. So no LED's on the cab.
[emoji106]. Nice. Looking forward to seeing it. I have been thinking about doing the same. You came up with a good install method.
I appreciate the compliment. I originally was going to stick them on the bottom of the plastic storage compartments but they have the indentations and only run halfway up the drivers side. In addition there was nothing along the rear of the coach to attach to. The metal on the underside that runs by the genset is a lot thicker and you have to pre-drill those or the self tapping screws will get really hot, snap off, and fall inside of your shirt while laying on a creeper in a tight space.
I really like the blue under glow and the amount of fabrication that went into installing it. I also can appreciate how the control box is mounted. Looks clean.
