Isata 5 valve extensions

I searched but I could not find any info. I am looking for valve extensions for the two inner rear tires so I can install my last two TPMS caps. Any info is appreciated.

I got my Borg extenders from Your Tire Supply for my Sprinter, but they have them for pretty much rverything. Best thing is to call them and they will determine what kit fits. You can buy just the inner extensions only and not the entire kit which has the the outer stems as well. These are not the screw on type and need to be installed at a tire shop.

What TPMS system are you installing? Can you post a photo when you have the project finished?

I am using the new TST color TPMS with ten cap sensors. Six for the coach and four for the jeep. I put a repeater in the cabinet behind the bedroom TV for the toad. It comes with suction and dash mount. Its rechargeable and the battery will last a very long time between charges. It tucks in nicely in the corner of the windshield.

Please clarify, the new color TST monitor battery lasts a long time or the repeater battery?

I have the previous TST monitor but the rechargeable battery has a very short life. I keep it plugged in to power whenever I am driving.

It would be nice to eliminate a wire running across my dash top. Currently three up there.

Isata 5 valve extensions

I have the TST 507 color monitor and the battery does last for a week easily, I do not leave it plugged in and top up the charge as needed. The repeater does not have a battery in it, you need to connect it to a 12 volt source. I put mine in my tt battery box.

My color TST monitor, once fully charged, runs a crazy long time. You will be VERY happy with how long it goes.

The repeater doesn’t have a battery. It’s hard wired to 12VDC.

I just ordered a set of 90 PSI Dual Dynamics Cross fire tire system. I made sure to purchase †he one with two valve stems for the TPMS. I will post some install pics and a review of the system.

That looks cool. So you would only need one TPMS on the rear?

Let us know how it works and more pics. Thanks for sharing

You can do one or two TPMS caps. The system keeps the pressure equal in both tires. If one develops a leak or blows out, the crossfire closes that side off and the remaining good tire inflated with just a 10 psi loss. So with one TPMS, if you were running at 90psi and it dropped to 80 psi you could assume one tire was flat. I opted for the two valve system but you still only have to fill from one valve stem.

The cross-fires are a great product. I've run them on my old RV for a lot of years, and plan to on the new DX3 we have on order. It does simplify air-ups and is a great visual indicator. Use a good tire gauge to verify the center position, one set I have it's on the red side of yellow for 90lbs.

I didn't want to mess the decorative top hats, so I mounted on the axle bolt cover and didn't run with the top hats. I found on the 19.5" tires, it was kind of crowded on the top hat and would be a pain for a tire change. This also allows to visually check wheel bolts.

A couple things I've learned over the years, they are great COLD tire indictors, they will roll to red when the tire gets some heat in them, so after a long day, just kind of ignore the color until the next morning.

One hint on installing, you actually put the INSIDE tire connection on first, then the outside (generally the 180 connector). The first one is easy, as for the second - push (pull on a 180 connector) against the air pressure in the tire as you hand tighten the nut - that goes quicker and lose less air. This way you use the wrench a lot less.
