Isata5 30FW Power Issues

Shore power plugged in but no power to RV. Batteries won’t charge and 120v doesn’t work. Generator works and charges. Inverter works for 120v. Solar charges batteries also. Just shore power doesn’t work.

could be any number of things.

is the circuit breaker on the pedestal tripped? have you tested power at the pedestal with a meter?

do you have a detachable power cord? if so plug it into the pedestal and use a meter to verify that power is actually making it to the other end.

many people have reported a loose or corroded connection on the power receptacle on the rv that you plug the shore power cord into. there are screw connections on this receptacle that either come loose or get burnt (corroded). have you checked them?

it could be the transfer switch. there could be a loose connection in it. or it is not transferring between shore and generator power properly. you may have to take the cover off to inspect it.

be careful working around live 120 vac power!

I’m thinking that since everything works on generator power everything after the transfer switch is ok. Seems like it is somewhere between pedestal up to an including transfer switch. Start at the pedestal and use a meter to confirm absence or presence of power on each segment as you work your way to the transfer switch. Also I forgot to ask if you have an end. If so what status is it showing. It could have sensed an error and is not letting shore power through

Cavie, this was corrected to"Does anyone have a picture of the transfer switch?"

I think he was trying to find it so he could test it.

i don't have a picture but i am making a couple of assumptions. you say all works on generator. by that i am assuming an on board generator. if this is true the transfer switch will be located very near the generator. follow the output cables from the generator and they will run right to the transfer switch. at least in most cases. there's always an exception.
