Our jeep toad has 35's and a 2.5 inch lift. We use a 4" riser. Hubby installed tow bar, but it's a stock bumper, so you are going to have to get creative

I have a 4” lift and 35’s on mine and the blue ox bar is 23” off ground. With the inserts out the loss of approach angle on the front is minimal. This is on a ‘17 Rubi Recon with full underbody armor (minus the diff sliders). My Gtown has a high hitch mount and I run straight draw.

Fourwhl - I have a blue Ox Tow Bar with the Off Road adapters. They connect directly to the D-Ring mounts. Makes it easy. Below is the link to them on Amazon although you may find them less on other sites.

Jeep Flat Tow Hitch Height
Too tall!
I’m waiting patiently for my recon to show up.
Going to have 2” lift, high top fenders and 37’s...
I’ve always wanted to build a LCG rig.

I ordered mine in June and got it in 13 days. I’m still on the fence on which fenders I’m going with.

I am betting that when you go to hook up you will be pretty close to level with a 10" riser. Based on what I could see regarding your bumper you will most likely need the Blue Ox BX88296 adapter . It works really well with the D-Ring bracket. If your D-Ring bracket is 1" wide it will work perfectly. If it is narrower than an inch you may need to weld in a washer or two to keep away from to much play. Good luck

I am taking off the blue ox bar and having an LOD bumper made. They will weld on the blue ox brackets below the bumper, above the skid plate. No height issues when we pulled behind the Force, but the HD hitch is much lower. Have to see how it works out for you.

Less than 2 weeks for a factory order?

Yes sir! Dealer looked all over the country for what I wanted, and it didn’t exist (white Recon 6spd). Talked me into ordering because the last 4 they ordered came in less than 2 weeks. Ordered on the 15th arrived on the 28th of June. Will yours be an ’18 JL?

Force HD hitch is lower than the non-HD Force?

The Force had a regular 2" receiver, mounted up higher, the rear cap had a cut out to go over it. The HD has the same 3" hitch as the DX3. See pics.

I'm pretty sure our DX3 mid hitch is 9" from ground NOT aired up. 15" once aired up. Jeep tow bars(under bumper) are 20" from ground, we got a 4" riser.
Didn't need a riser with our previous DP

so you have to use an adapter to drop the size down to 2", then use a rise?
I have a blue ox rise from the first RV we had. I will just have to wait to see how it all lines up, after the HD arrives and the new JK bumper from LOD comes in.

Yep, couldn't find out how else to do it.
Also, you're supposed to get a reducer with your rig, but not everyone did. So we bought one, then ours came with one.
So we have a brand new 3 to 2 reducer for sale cheap

Interesting on the regular Force hitch. That makes some more sense I guess.
We shall see. I may just hook it all up with the Drings and see how it looks/works and make a call from there.

Welp drings and the 10" riser definitely aren't going to work. Under the bumper sits just about perfect so probably going to come up with something that mounts under there

looks like you are right, under the bumper is the key. So it looks like a 10" riser for me and the LOD bumper will work fine.
Now I have to dig out my riser and see how big it is.

looking at the photo, it looks like extensions are going to be needed for the safety cables too, the riser adds a great deal of length to the whole unit.
