Kenwood in-dash for 2019 Isata 3

Has anyone become familiar with the new in-dash Kenwood system? Our rig also has the Kenwood forward looking dash camera, but no navigation. I have been looking at the manual and I can’t sort out a few things:
1. When talking on the phone the overhead microphones in the chassis don’t work but a small mic that is hooked to one of the Kenwood systems does.
2. The controls on the right side on the steering wheel used to answer the phone as well as do outher things don’t seem to work either.
Any help would be appreciated.

I’m not sure what other mics you have but Kenwood has its own mic for Bluetooth.

Do any of the steering wheel controls work?

There is a module that reads the Canbus signals for the steering wheel controls to work...might need to be reprogramed or flashed if none of he steering wheel controls work. There is no hard navigation (since all of them seem to create more problems then they are worth), so it has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. So you plug your phone into one of the cables (I'm do't recall which is which, but white is one and gray is the other). That will mirror your phone screen and its built in navigation.

After some time playing with it we think we got the Kenwood in dash to work. Its pretty slick, but also kind of complicated Also the steering wheel controls do work. Hooked up two iPhones What do the two cords do? I’m not sure how the front facing camera works but we do get a picture from it. I’ll have to study it some more.

Love the new coach!

The two cables are hook ups enable apple CaPlay and Android auto. One cable is for Apple Phones, the other is for Android. Manual will tell you which is which as I always forget.

If they were smart, the white one is Apple. Since all their stuff if white.
