key box window mark?

So there is the heavily scratched/abraded mark on my driver side window. I'm guessing it was from a metal key box or something of the sort that was used either at the FreightLiner factory or Dynamax. BC, do you know?
Is there a way to fix it without replacing the window glass?
Of course, my luck being what it is, it's right at eye level when I'm looking out the window. Or maybe if I get a new low profile chair, it'll be up out of view. Anyone else have this spot on their window?

In the pic, the spot shows as just a hazy mark just left of center, above and to the right of the long tree branch. The picture doesn't really do it justice, it looks a lot worse when you turn to look out the window and it is right in front of your eyes.

We don't use key boxes, nor does Freightliner. You would have to ask your dealer if they do. I don't know of any that do.

Eh, even if MHSRV admits it, I'd be shocked if they'd pony up. I'll just call a glass repair place or buy a new window for it as a last resort.

I don't know that I have ever seen a keybox at MHSRV. All of their units are unlocked and open for viewing. I know "someone" on here brought a unit in to have a paint spot repaired that was touched up by the dealer...it was a terrible touch up job. So as always, we clean the spot first and it rubbed right off. It ended up being tape residue from something.

So, I would try rubbing alcohol or something first. I also had a scratched buffed out of glass once.

Search Amazon for a cerium oxide glass polishing kit. Only about $20.

Is there a chance it is overspray? I would clean it like BC suggested, could have been a small hole in the paper mask they used to paint.

If not overspray you might try gently rubbing 0000 steel wool over the area. BTW, I use ammonia or white vinegar solution to clean my windshield from the concoction that Pennsylvania was using on roads in cold weather when glass cleaner didn't work.

You were right!

The PDI detailers missed it. I missed it with windex wipes. My local detailers missed it. I thought for sure it was scratched. But, with a little GoofOff, it came right off! Good call on your part. I am full of chagrin that I missed it.

I love the idea of "assume nothing"...that way you'll never be prematurely disappointed for no reason.
