Thanks Magnatudes, just hope we get a break in the weather. We live in the Ozarks & it's usually nice up until Christmas. But our dealer is RCD in Columbus OH, so our fingers are crossed!

I just tried to contact Bullseye Leveling but no answer yet. We ordered our 3FW without the stabilizers thinking we would get the 100 lbs levelers installed. They're located in Logansport, IN, so maybe we'll swing by there & have them installed if the product is a go. I know that in September Bullseye suppliers were an issue.

ANother question regarding Xite Infotainment. On the 6", is there a video output that is not dedicated to anything? i.e. composite, HDMI,... Also, what is the resolution of the 6" screen?

Xite 9" Infotainment

Here is a video that shows what the 9" Xite system can do.

I think this is the unit we are talking about.

I went thru all the manuals & quick start guides. No where is there any info on the video output. It mentions an optional 7" remote monitor but does not state what that is exactly. Also, no mention of screen resolution. I need to understand what type of video output technology/connector is used for this optional remote monitor. For us retired, going blind folks, having a small 6" rear view/side camera/nav display located in the middle of the dashboard and not angled toward the driver, is an accident waiting to happen. I am thinking about placing a 10" remote monitor in front of the driver position, maybe overhead, but I need 12vdc circuit accessible above & a video cable from the Infotainment unit routed up to the overhead panel. Therefore, I need to know what type of video cable.

XSNA- XSG2NA X2s

This is the Xite site. Looks like the video output is RCA, which can only be SD.

This is from page 33 of the XSG3NA-MB9 INFOTAINMENT CENTER Owner’s Manual :

"Infotainment Center is capable of receiving and transmitting HDMI signal. To view HDMI on your Infotainment Center, connect your HDMI compatible device (Smartphone, Tablet, etc.) to the HDMI port located at the front of the Core. To exit HDMI source, simply tap anywhere on the LCD display, and then tap the top left corner of the display to get to the Main Menu."

I didn't see anything on the resolution, but you can call: Joshua Larson, Technical Support, Riverpark Inc., (574)-522-7781 Ext. 319, 1-800-442-7717

Thanks Dave,

Wish I was able to get a 9" Infotainment system. Looks like the 6" only has RCA video out. I believe it was Joshua that I spoke with about swapping out a 6" with a 9". He's the person that told me that it was not possible unless the Mercedes chassis had the new structure behind the dash opening where the radio goes. I wonder how Dynamax handled this for you.

Little late to the party but I ended up swapping my Sony for the Kenwood DDX9903S for the reasons noted. All the hookup functionality of the Sony but CarPlay/android support. That and the capacitive touchscreen is great.

So is the DDX9903S just the same version in the Excelon name? As the DDX9704S that we're looking at?

We're sort of between the DMX7704S and the DDX9704S (adds CD/DVD, motorized screen and capacitive screen).

Normally I would say its worth it to get the capacitive screen...but the 7704S screen is really very nice. Resistive has come a long way and you can barely tell the difference. They call them "Clear Resistive" now...less grainy.

I'm not sure who Josh is...but the XITE is designed specifically for the Mercedes dash. The mounting kit fits into OEM holes. You do lose the little change pocket below for the brain, but it all fits in there with the included kits. harness should be the same as well.

Hell if I can tell. Biggest difference I see is the 9903 is $100 cheaper. I remember getting lost in all the part numbers when I bought. Think I went with this one because I just couldn't figure out why I should spend the extra on either the 9904 or 9704.

To me the capacitive just reacts the way I've grown used to using a touchscreen with phones and such. The Sony always seemed clunky on the touch screen.

Either way I don't think you can go wrong. Been really happy with the setup. Biggest complaint is not being able to use google maps on CarPlay which I think has the better interface. Pretty much fores me to stick with the android devices.

I concur. Prefer google maps over Apple maps.

The 9" kit all comes from River Park...so not sure why they wouldn't know if it could be done.

Brian, Whatever you pick please make sure you can see the screen with polarized sunglasses. I got stuck with the Sony in my dash and it is basically worthless when driving during the day as I can’t see the screen with polarized sunglasses on. Just a thought for your research.
