Latest Force Modification

Took the day off of work and decided to do some modifications. I added a hardwired dashcam. I also replaced the ashtray with a dual usb port and a switch for the other 12v outlet on the dash that i replaced the lighter with. Click image for larger version

Is the ash tray replacement unit an aftermarket product or did you fabricate it?

I fabricated it out of aluminum, covered it with 3m Carbon Fiber for dashboards. I traced the current outline of the ashtray on the aluminum. I am really happy with the results.

Thanks. Getting my list ready for summer upgrades. LED driving lights in the bumper, changing both ceiling fans over to Max fans, putting rear bedroom TV on articulating locking arm for better viewing.

This week I have to replace the coax cable that goes from the Kitchen to the bedroom, the TV signal is awful, I ran a direct cable and it fixed the issue, so there must be a kink or something where the cable is hidden in the wall.

Smile Dynamax Force

We are picking up our 2016 Force this coming weekend. How does everyone like their residential fridge and do you feel it necessary to add solar??? I am thinking we can run the generator a couple hours a day and that should charge our batteries while boondocking. Any tips or suggestions from anyone?

We have run the fridge without power over night with no issues. I would think using the generator to charge up the batteries would be the way to go.

We're leaving on our first trip in a few days for a 3 week trip and I was going to ask the same question.

Did you add anymore Batteries ?

I might add a (2) more 12v Batteries just for insurance and also bring along my 2400 Yamaha Genny and let it run a few hours a day.

Whats everyone else doing to keep the Batteries charged ?

I didn't add any batteries, i run the generator if it requires a charge or you can set up the gen auto start if it gets low, depending on time of day
