Looks like it might be a battery temperature sensor like this one?

The CAT4 style cable makes me believe it is part of a battery monitoring system.

After reading the first post I did a quick Google search before reading on and it appears its part of a battery monitoring system.

It is the temp sensor, battery temperature is an important component in correctly and fully charging batteries.


Magnum incorporates these with their inverter chargers and solar controller.
