Maxx Fan Interior cover

I found a product called Maxx Shade. It screws to the inside of the fan and has a sliding cover. Air can still pass through the cover but it cuts light out. I added it to the bedroom so in the morning etc it will eliminate the light over the bed.

Looks like it's actually called a "Maxx Shade"

https://www.airxcel.com/maxxair/products/maxxshades

You can get one with LEDs, too.

Good find, I use the rig to sleep in when I work nights in the refinery. Here's the link I used:

Isata 3 FW, installed maxx fan shade cover on bedroom fan.
Because of the fan close proximity to bathroom wall I had to cut 1/4 inch of the mounting bracket bathroom wall side. Also cut 3/4 inch from the cover with shade on bathroom wall side.

On my max fan that they installed there are covers on the outside that blocks the sun. They put them on the other two fan areas as well. I really like them!

My kitchen vent won't open. BC suggested that the seal could be stuck. I want to push out on the vent to see if I can force it open but I don't want to break it either. Ideas?

so the rubber seal may be stuck? Mine has a manual override button that you can twist up. maybe twist and push up gently? The plastic covers seems pretty thin, I am not sure it will take much pressure.

I have a manual knob and will try it again, but it doesn't seem to want to push up or pull down. I agree about the cover, fearful I'll break it.

when you do finally get it to move, dust it liberally with baby powder. It'll keep it from sticking in the future.

Good call Halla. A little bump with a piece of wood and I popped the stuck seal. That's all it was. Cleaned up everything and then added the baby powder. I've heard some are using that on the slide seals too?
