MaxxFan seal conditioning?

As I continue tweaking our new to us Isata 3 prior to our first road trip, I've noticed that every time I try and use any of the 3 MaxxFans I need to climb a ladder and "pop" open the roof covers. The seals will then work flawlessly for a few days. This could be a real PITA on a trip with no easy roof access. I've read the MaxxFan literature on my USB stick and there's no mention of conditioning the seals. Any successful remedies for this would be greatly appreciated. Not including my recent LiFePo4 conversion, I've spent at least 40 hours "fixing" little, but absolutely necessary, things on this I3 with 9700 miles on the odometer.

I have resolved this by coating the seal and lid surface with silicone spray. Hope you enjoy the new rig!

I have a can of slide seal spray, probably the same thing as silicone, but says it is safe on all rubber materials.
