May I transfer the warranty on my Dynamax Isata3

We are selling our Dynamax Isata3 24 FW and was wondering if any one could tell us if the Dynamax warranty can be transferred to the new owner, I have no doubt that the Mercedes Benz warranty will tranfer.

Thanks for your help

Page 2 "All Electric" thread should answer your question.

Only the Dynamax portion does not transfer. All of the equipment warranties and chassis should.

Thanks, someone else pointed me to the page that states that in the warranty.
Back story on the question. We purchased our Isata 3 24FW on Jan 6, 2018, drove it home, on the way home found some issues and after having it in heated storage for a month and further checking it out were able to return it to the dealer for repairs, where it remains to this day. During the two trips we determined, which we never used any components nor camped in the coach, that it was just to small, we had traded a 42 foot diesel pusher for it, and we decided to trade it for a Isata 5 30FW, the dealer we approached told us he would have to purchase an extended warranty because Dynamax warranted the coach to the first owner only. Sadly we are taking a serious financial hit because a two month old coach is no longer warranted by Dynamax, we find this rather sad and disappointing. Yes, I know that the chassis, and most components are more than likely covered but that doesn't help when trading. Thanks for your reply.

Please don't take this as a complaint, we know trading so soon would be a serious financial disadvantage, it was just that the addition of the lack of warranty transfer further increased that issue.

The only items that would not be covered are the structural warranty. (Just the things we built) and I have said before...if that isn't broken in the beginning, it's very unlikely that it would down the road. Unfortunately this is the way the corporate warranty states...mainly to protect us from people that might misuse the vehicle. It also just happens to affect those rare instances like this as well. Had it been a bit sooner, we might have been able to back out the registration...but once it is registered with the DMV, that ship sailed.

We had a situation recently where someone tried to claim a hitch under warranty as the 2nd owner. Of course my guys took a look at it, because if it is a known issue or problem that was obvious from the factory, we would likely cover anyway, or at least offer some goodwill assistance. Well...the pictures found their way to me and I quickly recognized that it was not our hitch. The original owner took off our 2000 lbs hitch and installed a 5,000 lbs hitch. So the 2nd user was towing a 4,600lbs vehicle behind a rig that was designed to tow 2k. When the hitch bent the frame they felt this was an obvious factory defect. Except, it wasn't.

Bohi546, I don't understand the dealer having purchasing an extended warranty on your trade in, never thought they could do that. I took a hit on a unit I had for 6 months last year and the trade in value is the trade in value. They can play with the numbers on a trade in, more for your trade in means less of a discount on the new unit. I know it hurts, just one of those things. For us taking the hit was still the right thing to do and we ended up with a dealer that we like much better too.

Thanks Brian for your response. One more question for you. As I was reading the warranty I noticed it stated that Dynamax products are warranted for 12 months or 12, 000 miles, yet on your website and brochures it states that they have a Limited 2 years warranty. Which one is correct?

You can take less of a hit by selling it yourself on Craigslist, rvtrader or some such site. I have always found you do much better that way.

Forest River is 12 month/12,000 miles. Dynamax is the only motorized division I know of that is 2 year/24,000 miles

to bClemens: This isn't about warranties but about recalls I did the recall about the exhaust on my isata 3 and sent an email to John at Goshen and asked him to forward to wherever appropriate to clear up the recall on my coach. So did you recieve it and is it cleared?

I don't show it in the file. You should send the picture directly to the service guys. It looks like you were emailing Brian Meeks. That would be the guy that add the recall repair in the system
