I'd rather be camping too! But this was me last week.

OK, so it's back to the Isata 3 story from GOSHEN as the adventure continues. My plan is to fly back down to Florida on the 25th. I am already starting to look at changing my flight to an earlier date, but I won't. Once I get back to Ft. Myers, I'll be making a few runs to the RV Storage Facility and packing for the trip.

First stop will be near Atlanta to visit my Army ranger nephew. Then off to Harrah's Cherokee Casino. Park, eat dinner, gamble and sleep over in the parking lot. Instead of traveling the usual I-95, we will be avoiding it completely. We are going to take I-81 all the up into PA, then shoot east on I-84 through CT back into Mass.

On I-81 we'll make a detour into TN than up through VA into WV, stopping at either a Casino or a campground. Next stop will be in the Poconos for a little more gambling, eating and sleeping in the parking lot.

The last leg of the trip will be PA back to MA. Looking forward to putting the I3 to the test. Pictures, more stories and comments coming soon.

Stopped at Ft Benning last night and stayed over. Drove past ATL today and didn't see anything unusual. Except for the huge NRA exhibit in town. Just about into SC now and gonna drive till dark. So far nothing funny to report.

My son is at that show. He was approached by fN about making holsters for a new pistol they revealed this week. I think his meeting was today. Did I mention he's only 23? 6 months ago he was working for me. He's moving up fast.

Good for you and your son. More proof that there are lots of productive young people out there.

Ok, so we drove a little ways past dark. Pulled into a campground in Virginia just about 11:30. I stayed up last night until 3:00 in the morning talking with my Nephew. Got up at 7, had a big breakfast and hit the road around 10:30. 200 miles in, I had to stop and get some shuteye. Otherwise, I would have spent the rest of the day hallucinating while driving and I am pretty sure that would have made my DW a little nervous. I made a lot of stops today just to break up the driving and occasionally getting out to catch my breath from driving through construction zones, dodging trucks and idiots that can't merge onto a highway. There were a few times when I wish I had a Mad Max vehicle instead of a DYNAMAX. Well, wait maybe I do have something like that somewhere, just not with me right now. But I have access to cool things like that and other stuff.

Where was I? Oh yeah, so I got a second wind after three Starbucks espresso in a can and a large coffee. Stopped and got fuel, samiches, chips and more start bucks instead a can. Got back to the RV, got in and said, OK Bets, we're just gonna drive till we can't drive anymore. We ended up going a little over 500 miles today up through SC, around Charlotte and up into Virginia. Last 15 miles or so, had to finish coming over the mountains, listening to my leveling jack alarm go off after hitting a bump. I didn't know what it was at the time, but coming down a mountain grade and listening to that for 15 minutes was about all I could take.

Along the way, we have made a few stops picking up more frog trinkets and gifts for my phriends.

Walking around the campground here this morning and stumbled across a FROG sign on a Georgetown. Of course I banged on the door and asked for credentials. Met Ken and Terry, the new organizers of the Canada rally. Have a safe trip home.

Today we made it about 450 miles to the Poconos in PA. Stopped at the Mohegan Sun Casino and lit $500 bucks on fire. Camping on the outskirts of the parking lot with a few other degenerates. Betsy is sleeping and I am drinking beer.

On another note to DelcoBobby. Can you guys pay a little more in taxes to get some road work done? I'm driving down/up 81 all day today listening to stuff fall out of cabinets and fly around. Kept the rear view camera on all day just to reassure the DW the jeep was still back there behind us.

"Can you guys pay a little more in taxes to get some road work done?"

Road repair does not include a ribbon cutting on TV so the funding is minor.

I've driven some Mass roads and yours are not much better. I 270 was always a major headache and bumpy when traveling back to Maine to see kin folk.

I agree. I just wanted to see if I could get bobbys attention. I'll be on some pretty bad roads soon today. 325 miles to go and we will be home. 1857 miles total.

The Pennsylvania politicians increased all of our fuel taxes, tolls, registration, drivers license fees, fines, etc significantly over past few years. All to improve the roads.

I have not seen any of the promised improvements.

I suspect that the roadway base is the problem plus perhaps low grade materials and construction methods. I say this because as soon as I cross the border into Delaware I have a smooth ride. Cross a bridge into NJ and the roads are better.

Dynamax should offer a hover craft type vehicle for the roads in PA.

Break out your screwdriver and start tightening all the loose ones.

Have a good trip.

Made it home. Washed the bugs off with hot water. Tomorrow, I will take the screwdriver, lock-rite and duct tape to everything that came loose, including my mind.
