New 2020.5 Isata 3 on 2019 Chassis

FYI, this is the first post I have seen with them in the wild. Not playing favorites with any dealer...this one just happened to tag our page and had the pictures, so they get the first mention.

Sadly, there’s no mention in the attachments about really important things like GVWR, GCWR, or cargo carrying capacity. The dealer listing link specs the GVWR at 11030 pounds, so I guess there is no improvement in that area on the new model.

I'm not sure how "sadly" it is...the GVWR and GCWR remains unchanged, while there may have been wishes, we knew that wasn't changing about a year ago. CCC is based on options, I'm sure you can get a copy of the weight sticker on that one.

There is a new 4500 chassis out, but to my knowledge no one is building on it. It increases the GVWR and reduces the GCWR. So while you can carry more, you might as well count out any decent tow vehicle.

Thing is, with all the talk of CCC, almost 7,000 of the Sprinter chassis sold in the last 12 months. It obviously fits a need in the RV market. it is not a Ford, no question when it comes to CCC, but the Ford engine is no 6 cylinder diesel either. I think like everything, its a trade off. You pick what is most important to you.

I noticed that the brochure didnít show the RW. Will it still be an option?

One thing that was not mentioned.....No plywood with cushion on top. We have changed over to a sprung dinette on ALL models.

Yes I think so. It looks like they are using Dynamax Corporate info though. I went to the Dynamax site but couldnít find anything on the Isata 3 with the new chassis. Probably just me not being computer savvy.

That sounds like it could be a big improvement.

No, we have not updated the website yet because it's an odd 2020.5 update. We wanted to ship the last of the 2020's before updating. Should have the mid-year stuff shortly.

Got it, thanks. So the RW will still be an option on the new chassis then, yes?

I looking at the MHSRV inventory of FW models, they had two of the new 2020.5 on order and I was surprised the MRSP was in the $155k range which was much less of an increase than I was anticipating, only a few thousand over stock that didn’t show the new MB features.

I'm not sure they have 2020.5 pricing, so they may be guessing at this point.

While in the booth for long periods doing some work I don't think it is that comfortable. Can the sprung version retrofit into and older Isata 5?

I'm sure it could. Same basic size.

Can you post a part number to order for the sprung seat replacement. Our Isata 3 interior is Pebble. Those foam cushions get hard, fast.

Yes, just got back from the Hershey RV show and looked at an RW with all those bells & whistles (2020.5).

I'll have to look into that. I don't think we have it quoted with Pebble.

We have upgraded all of our fabrics to a 10 year warranty against hydrolysis. They are close...but not exact.

Wow, very nice. Any chance of a factory recall of my 2018 to install all of these critical 'safety' updates?
