4whl - did you just ground the green wire permanently or put it to a switch when connects the ground? I'd like to be able to turn it on when making sharp forward corners to make sure that I do not hit my trailer just as I do in reverse. Thanks.

Just grounded it and it worked fine.

I monkied with the spare switch in the dash but couldn't get it to work right and then when I grounded it everything worked so I took that as a sign.

Another spot on fix to resolve a helpful issue. Another must do for anyone with this unit.

Yeah my display stays on the camera now while towing. Only chance to see what's going on back there really

I need to look at this for mine as well and perhaps mod it as you guys have. For now, when I want a quick look at the toad I just hit the hazards for a few seconds when there is no one behind me. Mine is wired to show the rear camera when the hazards are turned on and gives me that quick warm fuzzy that the jeep is ok.

its an easy fix then just a one button push to show camera. I put in a 7" Garmin gps so now I can see it better and do not lose gps when I turn on turn signals. Hardest part was finding a ground. There is non-used switch plug behind the dash with a good ground wire. I just plugged into that.
