Just an FYI on the 5 series awning. We are using Multi-Plex wiring and we have tried to clean up all the "non-conforming" switches (i.e. switches that do not lend themselves to our multiplex controls". As such the awning control is on the touch screen. I asked and have now been asked..."how do I see my awning going out, if I am standing at the touch screen".

Well, I just confirmed. If you push the "awning out" icon, for one second and let go...it will automatically go all the way out and stop itself at fully extended position. No need to watch it (same for retract). If you hold for more than 1.5 seconds, it goes into manual mode and then you would need a spotter to stop it where you want it.

Thanks for the update, will give that a try!

It sounds to me like there is a possible blown class T fuse, or disconnect switch is off, and its being back fed from the ignition charging solenoid, when he cycles ignition.
Soooooo, where should I check? Which fuse panel? What disconnect switch? Any fix if its ignition charging solenoid? thanks

First step...make sure you're not holding the button too long. Just a quick press will put the lights back on or off. If you press and hold...it turns them ALL on and resets the last know state. Test that first...turn off the lights you want individually. Then press master switch quickly. Then quickly again to turn them back on. If they are all on again...

Easiest spot is to check the battery compartment. Upper, left hand side is a "MASTER" disconnect. Make sure that is on or is it off? I can never remember. I'll go test a unit on the line. If that is on...I'll get you a fuse location.

Any plans to make a flipped version of the 36DS? There is only one small window on the curbside where your patio is. There are 5 windows on the roadside where my camp neighbors are most likely to be...

1) Dinette and more windows curbside.
2) Option for free standing table and chairs IPO booth.
3) Option for entertainment center IPO overhead bunk.
4) Armrests on the driver and passenger seats.
5) Laramie option.
6) More CCC.

1) noted
2) We get asked this, but when we offer it, no one buys it. So we stopped designing it. Most people want the seat belts and on freestanding you lose the seatbelts.
3) working on that.
4) Trying to figure something out on that. Silly of Dodge to try and get into the motorhome market without something other than a center console that you would have to climb over. (Silly us for thinking they would have though that through)
5) talk to Dodge. They don't offer Laramie in a Cab Chassis
6) we're around 1100 lbs CCC right now. Whenever we try to take weight out, people tend to complain. Quality is heavy. Our 17 chassis we dropped the 22 gallon tank...so you pick up roughly 136lbs of CCC.

4) Maybe an option for aftermarket seats?
5) Ram does offer the Laramie in a chassis cab but I just noticed that it's only
in the crew cab. Ok, I'd like to see a crew cab. ...that would really cut
into my CCC.
6) I understand. You're limited by the GVW and features. I'd rather have the
features as long as I can tow the extra weight.

Towing is not an issue. GCWR leaves us at least 10,000lbs of tow rating. Gotta watch the tongue weight, but that's fair easy to remedy with weight distribution.

Yes, but not in a regular cab. Only a crew cab, chassis cab. They were just out here about two weeks ago. We discussed that very issue.

You're right!
I've only looked at crew.

Could it be built with a crew cab!???
That would have some definite advantages.

At this time its not anything we would be looking at. The egress from driver/passenger to the coach portion would be difficult if not impossible for most people.

Host RV used to build a motorhome on the F550, 4x4, crew cab chassis. They replaced the bench seats with 4 captain chairs.

That's what I was thinking.

There is a major downside to a motorhome... Kids/infant/toddlers.

There's nowhere safe to put them.
Or adults, for that matter.
Four captains chairs, proper seats, and seat belts.
