I'm actually working on a project to show all the paint colors/codes, along with an even more detailed mix formulas.
All paint codes are on a sticker on the passenger door jamb normally. If they plug those codes into a BASF computer the mix will pull up.

I also am in the camp of "can't have nice things". Last summer on the way back from Silver Lake sand dunes in MI we had a tire blow out at 70 mph. In the process of getting to the side of the road I added this "racing stripe" by rubbing a guard rail. I have it in the body shop now. The insurance covered the repair, less my deductible, but it was around 10k

I broke the rear cap on mine and damaged the drivers side rear compartment door. Body shop could not fix aluminum door with insulation panel glued to the inside. Had to have new door built, through Dynamax, still waiting. Total repair was $7,500, $2,000 deductible. Insurance rate to increase 25% or $250/ year for 3 years.

I'm sorry that happened. I'd be really pissed at myself. Hope you're more forgiving.
I was rather relieved when we bought ours 'pre-dented,' so I wouldn't put the first one in her. Thank you, lot monkey. Cut a little off the purchase price, as well.

Yup, I jackknifed trailer with less than 10K on the rig. 20K to the insurance company and I had to fight like hell to get them to pay. Since there are no typical body lines you have to clear a ton of material even if the damage isn’t that bad.

The confusion is we changed door suppliers. We used to use "Wiley Mfg". The latch was at the very end of the door with an ABS inside cover. A while back I changed to MORryde. That has a latch that is inside the door frame a bit and has an embossed aluminum inside cover.
The problem is both companies used OUR print # as the part number. So both doors have the exact same part number. I have tried to create a simple way to tell the difference and we ask for pictures...but sometimes they give us just the outside picture and you can't tell by that. Only the inside. So I think your door was damaged the first time. Then the 2nd time they realized it was the wrong door. Because we don't use Wiley doors anymore, it has to be ordered each time with a 2-3 week lead time. So by time I got involved, we were already 2 doors in (4-6 weeks later) without shipping time. I think they have it now.

Ah so that explains why CW had ordered a replacement compartment door by the serial# for my mishap and when they received it the latch was on the right not the left.

I guess if one counts the resin curing time you could stretch it to 17 hours.
You are getting taken my friend.

Maybe not on the paint prices. Had a tour pack on one of my Harley’s painted to match a custom paint set. Based on the color and type of paint the paint alone was $800 not including the painters time.
In the end though worth every penny since it looked like it came from the factory.
Just sayin we all live this beautiful paint they have these days but sometimes it comes at a premium.
Now all the labor etc to actually fix may be another thing - looks high to me as well.
