To the OP, isn't your Isata3 a 30 amp service? If so, if you decide to make the change I referenced in post #17, you would be good to go...without any kind of adapters.

ok , i missed that pic - looks like a 30 amp outlet with I guess a 50 amp breaker . If you need to keep it for welding also - I would just go with a 15 amp dogbone then around $10.

The OP didn't say why he wanted to plug in, but if its just to keep the batteries up and some lights, then the 15 amp dogbone would be great. Its what I use in my RV storage facility where 15 amp is all they offer. I keep it plugged in all the time and everything including the chassis battery is charged up and ready to go.

Well stated!

WHOA.....
The last time I saw a 3 wire stove or dryer outlet there was knob and tube in the rest of the house. Up here this would have been a house built prior to 1950 and had a 60 amp service with a knife switch for the Main Entrance.
I really enjoy reading the wrong information that could kill!
Op call a electrician and show him the side of the trailer with the nameplate stating what you have. Some of the licenced electricians have even blown up trailers of posters here!

For folks that are electric shy in the knowledge dept purchase a setup as shown in post 23.
IF the plug fits the socket you wish to use (most campgrounds) , its safe to use in a 120V coach.
If the socket is configured differently , stay away.

The 29 replies you have received so far by some, not all, very knowledgeable electrical types is the prime reason you don't want to be experimenting with the electrical power to your rig.

not arguing with anyone just always believed in learning and doing it yourself
And the reason we all carry an assortment of adapter's and dogbones is because they are safe and we may need power from a source that our power cord isn't made for . AND any man or person who " knows and understands " what 220 and 110 is - yes , do it yourself / just turn breaker off and then wire whatever outlet you need or replace the damaged one you have . ( most electricians will say they will get to you soon for a very small project - but they never show ! )

No mystery there - 110 only ! Either 50 amp or 30 amp, but only 110, you'll look like Clark Griswold' s house on christmas

If you have 50 amp 220 in the barn you should be able to have a electrician wire a RV 30 amp 120 volt receptacle. Get a good Progressive Industries surge protector before you plug into it.

The site team is going to split off some of the off-topic posts to their own thread, as they are confusing to the original OP.
EDIT: The first set of moved posts concerning connecting a 50 amp RV to a pair of 30 amp outlets can now be found here:
http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ts-144107.html
EDIT 2: The posts concerning connecting a 30 amp RV to a 50 amp campground pedestal can be found here:

I have a house built in the early 80s that came with a 3 prong dryer plug. Maybe states laws at the time??
The OP could add a sub panel and use the 220v service broken as he will.
