Lithium is always the way to go if you want to put the money in. Two of those are equivalent to 4 AGM's. Plus you can run them all the way down without damage. But, its not always just the batteries. You need something to gauge them and potentially things to properly, charge them. I know Relion (I think) is doing a battery with built in heater and all the charging profiles built in. So you use drop them in, no lithium charger needed, it will just take whatever is thrown at them and adjust from there. (Though lithiums can take a lot more than AGMs for charging)

Is this the one you are talking about:

https://relionbattery.com/products/l...series-gc2-12v

And by drop in, does that mean we can just install two/three of these to replace the batteries currently being used and our power control system will charge them monitor them?

My batteries are 3 years old and will need to be replaced in the next little while and if this truly a drop in, then this will be a good option for me.

That's the one. They are touting them as a direct replacement. Nothing special needed.

I would argue that while that is true, lithium can handle much more power for charging. They don't need float/bulk. They need all the power they can get, then nothing. So to truly take advantage of their abilities, you would need a charger dedicated to lithium. However, IF the BMS can lie to the charger, it might just tell the charger it ALWAYS needs bulk charging. So that would be pretty close.

All I can say is

I never cease to be amazed at how many RV problems can be solved by a new set of batteries.
