Hi there. I'm a huge DIYer - I did it myself. Purchased these on Amazon.

How long did the install take? Does the windshield have a permanent divider now? Any rattles on the road. Certainly looks like an upgrade from the factory ones.

Hi there. Install took about an hour for the two side windows - they were really easy. The grin was more challenging - about 3 hours. No rattles so far! The plastic moldings are and exact color match as well. There are a few places (exceptionally minor) where I want the gap closed a little better. These are about 2-3 mm - so it's minor. For these, I just ordered JB weld great putty epoxy - I'll put it in these trim gaps. There is nothing divider in the front window, just two rods (top and bottom) that traverse the window. Yes - talk about an upgrade! Although they worked well - we really didn't like the reflective suction cup window shades that came with the rig. We want to make our rig first rate: so this is our quest. Upgrading the inverter next.

I really like the way those shades look.

We bought a 2017 Isata 3 manufactured in October 2016 so I assume the Mercedes Sprinter is 2016. The Dynamax reflective panels for the side windows don't fit well. There are gaps and it looks very much as though they were intended for an altogether different shape of window.

The Remis side and windshield blinds total almost $700 (not including shipping). Before incurring that cost and finding out that the Remis doesn't work either, was wondering what year Sprinter you have.

Hi Jason, I am going to be putting my shades (just the front) next week. I haven't dug into it yet but had a few questions on the install. When you took the front pillar covers off, do they unsnap? I can't see any screws at first glance. Any other tips you can provide?

Thanks,

I just had my front pillar covers off yesterday chasing down a wiring problem with the mirror camera. They just snap into the metal pillar underneath, no fasteners involved at all. Start from the top and just peel them off.

Post some pictures of your Remi shade. I am looking to do the same thing soon. I had them on my wish list on Amazon, but it's now showing unavailable for both the front and sides.

Thanks for the heads up, I will take a look. I just got my Isata 3 last Thursday and have been ordering supplies from Amazon to get it all setup.

The windshield unit is "only" $400 or so if the side windows do not require covering.

These look great and may be a future purchase , but for now the exterior cloth window cover will be the choice. Under $50 delivered.

First it keeps the solar heat outside the cab instead of trying to reflect it.

Second most cloth covers have a "see thru" ability.

From inside, the campground can be seen , although it is very difficult to see into the camper from outside.

We try to stop about 3-4PM every day , so seeing out at the new location is part of the enjoyment.

Fred, where did you find your cover? Looks like a good option.

GOOGLE is your friend,

We had them on our bus conversion and will install them on the Isata, but installing the seat swivels is higher on the list.

Remis Shades for our Isata 3

I put our windshield kit in today. The instructions are pretty bad. I had to re-do a few things and probably drilled a few more holes than I wanted to. I think the hardest part is setting the two center pieces and putting the overhead cover on. I have to spend some time re-fitting things tomorrow and then I will post some pics

They look great Jason, nice job!

Just looked on amazon, $688 for sides and front shades. Navion offers them as an option for $435...whatup with that?

If we get a Sprinter, we really want the Remis shades on it.
