The roof construction is the same as the 3 series and we do solar panels on that all the time. We just use Flex panels. Use 3M VHB tape to hold them down. Then we use Dicor self leveling seals on the outside edges to keep anything from getting under there. So far so good, 3 years.

Rev roof solar

Thanks Brian,
Mine is an early production (FE504171) with a rubber roof unfortunately.

Would it be better to screw it down and use Dicor sealant or use the 3M VHB tape?
I would think I have plywood backer under the rubber roof?
Will the roof support my 260 lbs using a board to distribute the weight?

What brand and size are you using on the 3 series?

I would like to have 400 W if possible.

The backer is only 1/4" rigid core ply or back then might have been 3/8" OSB. So I would use some type of anchor still. The ones we get have a screw grommet in each corner.

You should be fine on the roof, just don't jump up and down. I'm about 210 and it felt pretty solid for me.

You can use a little VHB tape, add some screws at the corners to be safe and then seal...no issue at all then. We use GoPower 100 watt Flex panels.

Hi BC, what are the voltage of our Go Power 100 watt flex panels? 12 or 24V?

Thx!
