Its not like I strongly disagree....its just been frustrating dealing with Atwood as well.

We used the Atwoods for all the reasons you cited and we were happy. Then come the complaints (others had it was worse than you) about them leaking. So there was a TSB for that, then the condensation thing, which may have been the root cause from the start. The frustration is that we get blamed for something we have zero control over and they were very slow to react and get us out of the cross hairs. They just let everyone continue to blame us.

Your impression is different than mine. I cannot see or feel any difference between the original (Atwood) part and the new (Dometic) part. I think they are equally cheap but the moving part of the Dometic replacement is definitely better than the original Atwood.

Totally agree. Got my two kits today and the diffuser shutters on both sets bind and resist fully opening and closing. The thin plastic "frame" sent separately to fully cover the old holes in the ceiling has completely square corners and will eventually rub through the soft ceiling material. I guess I can round them off if they don't break.
