Screen door shade for DX3

I recently saw a photo of a screen door which has a shade incorporated into it, instead of a stand alone shade I have on my 2018 DX3. Is it possible to order this screen door?

I haven’t seen the pic you’re referring to, but I keep looking back at this thread to see if an answer has been provided. I’d love to do away with the stand alone shade above the door if there was an alternative.

Wife loves this idea and if you learn where to get it, even if it means a entire new door, do let us all know what you find out. She’d love that much better than Velcro on a piece she attaches over the exterior door window.... she’s short in stature and mumbles a lot while trying to attach the piece and when removing by tippy toes.
It appears to be the same screen door as on our 2015 DX3?

I’ve never seen that screen door shade in your pic, but I’d absolutely love to have one...even if it means replacing the door as mentioned. Where did you come across that pic?

It looks like the screen door and shade on our Isata 3.

1. We used to use a roller shade mounted above the door. just ok.
2. Lippert developed a window in the door with a shade integrated. We were using that on the 3-4 series, and was going to bring that into the trucks as well, but showed Challenger. Our one objection is that you needed to open the screen door to put it up or down.
3. Challenger then developed this screen mounted shade and we jumped on it as quick as we could across the board.

If you have a rotary latch, like the one in the picture. Large pull handle inside (not a paddle type), that is a rotary latch and likely a challenger door. I think that shade can screw onto the existing screen door. I am not 100%.

This is challengers part number PART #2-280419

My 2015 DX3-37RB has frosted glass in the door. The effect is that any outside light seems GREATLY amplified/brighter on the inside. I'd love to find a simple, effective way to cover the inside of the frosted glass when I'm sitting inside.

Lots of discussion on this. Do a forum search for "Slim Shade". It replaces your present window with one that you can see out of for about $70.

Great idea, we need one also. The window curtain we made is a pain as you have to open the screen door to adjust. Contact info and size info would be great (to make sure it would fit our 2018 DX3 screen door).

I tried to contact Challenger this morning via their online contact form. I’ll post up any info I get back.

I had the same problem. Frosted part was on inside of glass, tint won’t stick to that. I removed the glass, easy remove screws on frame. Tinted the smooth side and reinstalled wit smooth/tinted side now inside. I used 35% tint. I’ll see if that solves the problem. If not, some type of cover.

Should be able to buy through any dealer with that part number...I'm not sure if Challenger sells direct.
