Show me your Isata 5 ladder solutions (in use and stored)
Curious what you are all are doing for a ladder while on the road with your Isata 5. I have one of those “little giant” ladders at home, but it’s pretty bulky and heavy to take on the road…..and I really don’t think it’ll fit in the basement storage anyway.
Also a tad “concerned” about the fact that I am going to be leaning the ladder against the beautiful paintwork.

Yup mine lays across one of the upper basement areas in the DX3. It’s surprisingly light and sturdy for what it is. Definitely flex’s some but I’ve used it a couple of times (once in Breckinridge in Feb) and am very pleased with it. Can def recommend. There’s also a 12.5’ version that might work but I went with the 15.5 to ensure I could get the right ratio for L/H when setting it up.

I have this one, and, after using it, I'd say the 15.5' is the way to go. I can get on top of the coach with it, but it's sketchy:

I do like the little bushings between the rungs, though. Keeps your fingers from getting pinched when collapsing it.

In the video I did when I changed the dip switches, I used the exact same ladder. I had pool noodle sections put in place where it leaned against the cap.
I actually liked having the ladder at a slight angle, versus the STRAIGHT up and down of a normal RV ladder. That first step always sucks on an RV ladder.
Also, the tail end driveway sloped down...which is where I needed to climb up...so I did not need a ladder to reach my ladder, it was all in one.

I just tape towels around the top rung of mine. I like the noodle idea. When can we get color matched noodles with the dynamax logo???

I’m just curious, what would I need to carry a ladder for while traveling?

I carry a 16' telescopic that also folds in the middle to be used as a 8' step ladder.

The short answer is: in case you need (or want) to get on the roof or have the ability to reach anything that is above the height you can reach.

Thanks, I thought the slide awning had a wiper seal on some other provision to keep it clean . I guess I’ll have to figure out a place for one more “what if item”. With spare tire, impact wrench, air compressor, level blocks, grill, table, chairs, ground mat, extra water hose, sewer hoses, toolbox,...? now I know why all you guys have the bigger motorhomes! Maybe I should trade up to the DX3. I guess I’ll fill up the toad...

Exactly why we bought a DX3, we loved the I5 but could not deal with the limited CCC.
