Shower control Isata 5
Has anyone replaced the shower control from the protruding lever to a more dial type that would not be"hit" when turning in the shower? Seems a bit ridiculous to have such a control in a confined area as it is.

This!!! ^^^
I dont know why it hasn't occurred to me to mention this here but I'm also shopping for a new valve for my DX3. Man it sucks when you step wrong and push the lever one way or another

Sounds like a lot of user error
I'll have to go take a look. I never really paid any attention to this shower valve, but I was thinking the 5 was different than the DX3.

I'm looking also, I almost died laughing at my DW when she hit it the first time and started screaming like a little baby.

An on/off valve at the shower head would suffice for me. It's the rinse that always gets me......

The point is that your body turns the protruding control to either high hit or low cold without notice. It has nothing to do with the off and on feature of a shower head.
We need a "turn" dial for the water control.

Mine is like that at home, but is a delta faucet. Those are certainly more money. I don't think we have any RV suppliers that offer that, but we are looking.

Here's my fix. I removed the existing handle and cut off as much as possible, not to expose the inside, then sanded and polished. Like factory.
