I made a procedures checklist and put the level before the slides. It just made sense to me from a time management standpoint. I get what your saying about the actual level though but I haven't seen it be an issue yet.

I pretty much do the same just in a different order. FIrst thing I do is pull into the site and check for my slides clearance and how level I'm at incase I have to move it a little, I have pulled in and did all above and found I couldn't deploy the slides or awnings. Dumb, after I had to re hook eveything back up I learned that lesson. And yes I did add sit and have a beer at the end also...
PS: some of the old parks where not built for slides they where built before slides came out and never been retrofitted to accommodate.
