Slides and jacks

Here's a chicken and the egg one:

What comes first when you setup: Slides or jacks? Does it matter? Ok to use slides without the jacks down?

Haha thankfully everything, especially the bathroom, are fully usable with the slides in!

Slides on my DX3 do work as long as the engine isnt running, even on battery so no limits to needing the jacks down that are hard wired.

I've done it both ways, but was just wondering if there's a preferred method really.

Jacks and slides. Our dealer suggested slides then jacks due to the weight of the slides extended could throw off the leveling, but I have not seen the level change after we deploy the slides.

I level first, and then deploy slides.

You should always be as close to level as possible before you use your slides, the reason is they could bind on you if your not. In Youroo answer it's true because you should be pretty level when towing on flat land. Mine I have to open to get into the refer when traveling, but I make sure I'm on level ground when I do open it.

I made a procedures checklist and put the level before the slides. It just made sense to me from a time management standpoint. I get what your saying about the actual level though but I haven't seen it be an issue yet.

I pretty much do the same just in a different order. FIrst thing I do is pull into the site and check for my slides clearance and how level I'm at incase I have to move it a little, I have pulled in and did all above and found I couldn't deploy the slides or awnings. Dumb, after I had to re hook eveything back up I learned that lesson. And yes I did add sit and have a beer at the end also... PS: some of the old parks where not built for slides they where built before slides came out and never been retrofitted to accommodate.
