Tank sensors
Brian thanks for the info on the See Level system. I have a couple of questions as I am trying to improve my I5 tank info accuracy.
1) can I add a stick on sensor in lieu of the top screw sensor on a tank with the precision Plex? 2) Will the Precision Plex system utilize more than three sensors for more accurate readings like 1/4 increments instead of thirds?

1. yes
2. I think they see them both ways and I think the precision automagically adjusts.

Scott if you make some changes please post, I'm interested. Never had a coach with accurate sensors.

Going to add 4 probes to the system on all 3 tanks so i can get 1/4 readings instead of thirds. Looking at Horst probes.

I have purchased the see level with bluetooth, adding this over the winter.

I’m on the fence with the See Level as I don’t want another system. Going to try the probes first on one tank then make a decision on which way to go

Tank sensors
I too just installed the Horst probes. They’re plug n play. Remove old ones and install these in the same holes. Its a quick job so you shouldn’t get pooped doing this job in any sense of the word. LOL.
The old ones are button sensors and were all dirty except one. My readings are now correct again.
PS. Get the Valterra ones on Amazon. They are Horst brand relabeled. You’ll save a little going this route and get free shipping if you’re a Prime member.

We started using the Horst Probes for a rental account. We were actually the ones that I think paired up Valterra with Horst. We were using them, but he was retiring and when we wanted to go "full line" not just that rental account, he turned us down, couldn't actually keep up with the volume we needed. I think my engineer at the time made a couple of calls...win-win. The original quality was not great from Valterra, but some of that was our install at the time as well. Has certainly improved as they got ramped up.

Tank senors I5DS
I have a Isata 5 and moved the tank sensors, from previous posting.
I put top sensor to the top; but over weekend it never said full and when flushing it pumped liquid up into bathroom sink- of course in middle of night!
So I'm also looking for better system for monitoring the tanks.
For those that moved the Isata 5 DS- how far from top is your top sensor?

All the way at the top...if the coach was even slightly out of level, fluid could pool to the side opposite the sensor. I don't think (well, and i guess you have confirmed) all the way at the top gives enough of an error factor.

The stick on sensors, I moved the top one up as far as my arm could reach, so very near the top. And I move the next one up a bit too. Reads pretty accurate now.
