tire pressure monitoring system
Brian, i enjoyed meeting you, but can't remember the name of one of the tpms systems you were studying. can you send info?
thank you,
i am even more interested since i learned that the tires cost nearly $400 each to replace which i will have to do, at least with the fronts after only 20,000 miles.
on the other hand, one way to understand the quality pursuit of a manufacturer is to look at the quality of the components. i'm guessing Dynamax could spec less expensive tires. unfortunately, our tires left the factory/dealership were significantly under-inflated.
17,000 + miles and still loving it

What ever brand TPMS you get you need to be sure your settings will give good, advanced warnings. I have a couple of blog posts on how I suggest TPMS be set.
Note I write for RVTravel.com and they have advertisements on the blog I write for them. I bought Tire Traker as I like their warranty but I do not sell TPMS.
I also did a multi-month test of two different systems and have posted the data on other blog posts if you are interested in the results.

Cool. I've been using the TPMS system from RVibrake just so I wouldn't have to deal with multiple screens, but I've had lots of problems with them. Their service and support has been exceptional...they've replaced a subset of the sensors a couple of times, and they've replaced all 6 sensors on a separate occasion. After getting 6 brand new ones a few of weeks ago, three are already non-responsive. I just ordered the TST system to replace it...seems like this crowd deems it the best.

TST user here
Yes, PSI bought TST about a year ago. They have made some great improvements with the company. We have been using TST for about 3 years, and they have by far the best TPMS in my opinion. We've tried Tire Traker and Tire Minder, and they just don't have the features or quality that TST has.

TST user for last 8 years. Two prior travel trailers and now on my ISATA 3. System works flawlessly. I've changed the batteries, added additional sensors and reprogrammed the unit. No problems. Highly recommended.

I have the latest TST with color monitor. LOVE IT. Use if for my Suburban and 2018 ROO 233S. I did switch our all of the tires rubber valve stems to metal stems prior to installing the TST system. Works great, simple to install and use, reliable so far. No issues.

I was a TST user until recently. My flow throughs got stuck on my Dodge valves. Corrosion.
My advice if getting TST is to avoid the flow through version.
I have to replace two Dodge TPMS sensor valves at $91 each plus labor.
I asked TST for suggestions to remove their sensors and was told tomorrow. That was months ago.
Tire Minder may be my next set as they offer sensors with your choice of metal.

Just returned from a 7k + miles adventure using a new TST-507 on my Motorhome. Worked flawlessly and gave me peace of mind while driving. Comes with a easy to read color monitor. Highly recommend this product.

Thought I'd jump in here. I did a round trip Florida to Maine and back and 3 of the 4 RVI sensors failed on the trip. I have to say they were awesome in admitting that they were having mfg issues and have sent a full set of sensors to replace all of mine. I like the system as it provides both pressure and temp for the tires. Great customer support. We'll see how the new units work. Florida to KC in the next couple weeks.

After about the third or fourth troubleshooting iteration, RVI admitted the same to me and sent a full replacement set. Half of them failed within a month, but they told me that of the 5000+ in the new batch, there had only been 7 failures. I hope you have better luck. I like the product and having only a single screen on the dash for the toad brake and TPMS makes a ton of sense. I’m tired of worrying about them, though, so I’m giving TST a shot.

We just had the TST folks at the Bamaganza rally and they have made great improvements to there products. They are very helpful. You ever thought about follow up phone call they are always available and have always had solutions to the problems you have. If I recall they have made improvements to the flow through system. I have had there system now for almost 2 years and no issues. They also replaced my color monitor free as there was an issue with the first batch. You wont find a better company to deal with. Later RJD

I’ve been very happy with the TST on my DX3. Didn’t have to do anything special to install. Was even happier when I realized I could remove the anti theft thingies for the rear duallies. Makes it much easier to take on/off.

I have the RVI system. Had a few failures but they have replaced them all quickly. Just did a 2000 mile trip with no issues. I did remove them for winter to help preserve battery life, as they did recommend.

TST has an excellent system, very easy to set up. I really like that you get your tire pressure as soon as you turn the system on, don't have to wait for tires to warm up. I bought mine at www.technorv.com

I purchased Tire Minder and used it for a year. Not real happy with it so I upgraded to TST. Great product.
