Tire wear question.

Anyone getting unusual tire wear as shown rear duals. Same air pressure. Same on both sides. Outer edges seem to be wearing.
ThanksClick image for larger version

Perhaps post a picture that shows the entire tread of the tires.

My guess is the pressure is a bit low, especially on the inside tire.

BTW, you have aluminum wheels on the inside rear. Did you do that are is it factory?

M2 comes with aluminum inner and outer.

I believe they say they are "truer" wheels and provide better cooling when braking.

Seems as if, but, they're the same pressure.

Is the same thing happening on the set of duals on the other side?

Running the same pressure on inner and outer may not be ideal. I've heard arguments that one (or the other!) should be a higher pressure. There doesn't seem to be much good information on the subject.

I have 5000 miles on my F450 dually, and have been running the same pressure inside and outside. So far, so good. If my tires showed your wear pattern, I'd consider bumping up the inside tire pressure a bit...especially if both sides show similar wear patterns.

Hopefully some more experienced than I will chime in.
