Tow bar options

Okay I am getting ready to purchase a tow bar setup for my 2014 Jeep Wrangler. It has 3.5" lift and 35 inch tires. What are my best options for flat towing behind 2016 Force HD?

If you want to change the bumper out instead of adding a tow plate, check out the bumpers fro Rockhard 4x4. They have steel bumpers with the tow bar connections built on them.

Ok. I want to keep the attachment on the Jeep as low as possible with it being lifted and all.

We have a lifted jeep we flat tow. Waiting for our DX3 to come in, seems the hitch is much lower than our class A. We are going to need a hitch riser. Consider hitch height when setting up your lifted jeep

We have a lifted 2015 jk, I use the Blue Ox with factory bumper. The mount is below the bumper, no issues with height. We are at 3.5" and 34" tires.

Hmm, interesting. DX3 hitch is 15" at mid-hitch when aired up, tow bar on jeep(below factory bumper) is 20". We have blue ox as well, you're only supposed to vary 3" high or low right?

Since I have all Road Master towing stuff, here is their guidelines read page 10.
Just took delivery of DX3 37BH the receiver, with MH aired up is at 15" to center from the ground. Our Toad is at 16 1/2" center of pins to ground. I would rather tow at equal. Hooked up toad today to make sure, lights, turn signals, and brakes were good. Will be towing it to FL on Wed.

My Force has a different hitch, I think it may be higher off of the ground, but I havent had any issues. On my Thor I had to use a drop receiver from Blue Ox to get it closer to level, I guess you could use a raised receiver if the DX3 is too low?

I am using the Blue Ox Aventa LX 10,000 tow bar. I towed a full size 4 door ram before the Jeep, so I figured this bar can pull anything.

Let me know if you have any questions/concerns. Good Luck.

We use blue ox base plate with a NSA readybrute tow bar. Also has mechanical brake as an option. The tow bar it self is far superior to anything out there and so is the mechanical braking system
