I use the same Currie tow bar plate on my 2015 Wrangler with a Demco tow bar, Demco sells adapters for this plate. It is an easy install and provides a solid front skid plate as well. I think it is a perfect solution for the 2007 and newer Wrangler.

Just curious, when I read the info on that link it reads as if you use that plate in addition to the Blue OX baseplate, not as a replacement for the baseplate.

And the silver pins he is talking about come with the baseplate, you don't purchase them separately.

I agree with fobagbob.

And the Currie plate is inexpensive and very solid. I've run up on BFR's with no problem.

I don’t like loosing my shackle points with the Blueox baseplate.
Do you remove the baseplate when you go off road to have access to the shackle points.

Well I have a stock bumper and this Currie may not fit will all aftermarket bumpers so I don't really know the answer to that question. No, it's bolted onto the Jeep frame with a bunch of bolts, you'd never take this off unless you bought a bumper that got in the way of this plate or you sold the Jeep.
The way I have it set up you can put tow shackles on the tabs welded on the plate for your tow bar attachment points (I called him shackles for lack of a better word). You'll notice in some of the photos there is also a hole in one of the braces? You could easily run a tow strap or winch line through that hole. I use that hole to hook up my safety cables. I like the price too.
