We coil the wires for a brake controller on top of the driver side fuel tank. I think someone on here posted some pictures and their routing path when they installed their brake controller.

The wires should be coiled "on top' the drivers side fuel tank.

I removed the access panel inside the drivers door. They were right there on top of the tank. Easy to route. I did post pics a while back. Maybe look back in the older posts?

Let me check to see if that is part of our harness or something that we hand wire as a courtesy. If it's had wired, it could have been missed. If it is part of our harness...then, it probably fell off the backside or something.

Electrical engineer said he has seen where they accidentally pull them across the chassis and up the passenger transition panel. (which I think he is referring to the fiberglass parts where the cab meets the coach). See if there is anything running over there.

Might have been missed. Not really a published item...they just did it in case someone optioned a brake controller (all unpublished option, which made it easier of course). Now I added a brake controller to the price sheets.

We've always run the Tekonsha Prodigy and every time I have asked the question, I get that same response.

Unless you're going to need to take it in/out to use in another vehicle I'd just hardwire it and skip the adapter. It's only like 5 wires to connect. That's what I did.

With a multimeter hand you can test out which wires are which on the freightliner and the manual tells you on the controller side.

I hardwired it as well. Ran the wires up and into the firewall, came in to the right side of the steering column. One of the easiest projects I did on ours so far.

Making my mod list for this winter. Cant wait.
