Trim Missing
I was giving all of the joints a good look and noticed this piece of trim was broken off and missing. This is the right rear, and there is another 4" piece on the left front of the coach missing. Anyone know where to get some more? Any ideas of anything else to do? I have sealed the screws so they shouldn't leak, but I'd like to have these covered like the rest of them.

I had that on out Isata 3. Call your dealer and ask them to order you a roll. It's pretty easy to install. That should run the entire length. Or you can order it from DYNAMAX if you have a contact. Easy fix but you want it to be sealed all the way

I just ordered a 100 ft roll of trim from E-trailer, cost less than 20.00
my dealer wanted 85.00 for a roll and a hour of labor, I told them I can do it my self. LOL

We have the same thing on our Force. Right rear missing about 3”.
We also have water leaking in the corner of the bedroom closet where the piece is missing.

yep, they shrink in the sun. I think they shrink faster when they are painted. When you cut a new piece cut it long. It is pretty cheap to replace.

Would you replace the full length or just what's missing. It is painted and the stripes run up through it.

Mines dark paint job and its hard to see the trim over the awning and the slides. I replaced the whole one side with black.

Do you happen to have a part number or a link?

Thanks, Halla. Did you get yours from Dynamax?

As they have said, just shrunk. On the 3 series we actually don't paint it, we put it in after. I may suggest that on this as well. hard to see, not sure why it needs to be painted.
Also, the screws underneath should already be through butyl tape underneath. That cover is not water tight....so its not protecting them from water, just aesthetics.

I'm assuming the trim just snaps into the channel as you install it? Is there a part number or some specs I can use to order this? In looking at it more from the ground it is hard to see, so I agree it could be replaced without paint and it wouldn't change the look very much.

doesn't really snap, as it is just a soft, flexible piece. Just lays in there really. I do not have a part number, but if you shoot a picture to parts, its call "screw cap cover" I think.

'Back in the day' some manufacturers would run a screw through the screw cover at each end to prevent it from shrinking.

DON'T stretch it when installing. It will shrink faster and look the same. When I replaced mine, I start at one end and apply a little pressure towards the starting point as I lay it in.

This is what I bought. Took about 20 minutes a side to replace. Also, I was disappointed to see that all of the trim screws that were visible when I removed the trim piece had rusted heads. I hope the screws hold up!!

If link doesn't work, search amazon for "RV Designer E469, Heavy Duty Vinyl Insert Trim, 1 inch Wide, 100 foot Roll, Black"

Thanks! I ordered something similar earlier today. It didn't say heavy duty though, so I hope it's decent stuff.
