Uconnect service on Ram Radio Isata 5

I have a 2017 Isata 5 that has the older rear view mirror without the camera function. It has the 911 button and Uconnect button. Have those of you who have this radio set up been able to register your radio with Dodge? Do you have the Uconnect functions working with your radio, eg. 3g service, concierge, etc. ?

That is a factory stock radio...no reason you can't activate the UConnect functions.

Yes...well its a multi-purpose antenna that we get from Dodge. It took us a while to get extensions for it because its not just an XM antenna.

I have UConnect on my Jeep, unless they changed how it worked, you don't need to activate it. Mine in connected to my phone through bluetooth. I just have to pair my phone so I can do hands free calling.

If you change the radio, you will not be able to use any of the uconnect features that require a subscription. The camera and navigation would work, but locking and unlocking from your phone wouldn't. If it's a stock radio in the vehicle it was installed, everything will work like it was designed to.

After the one-year free trial that came with our 2015 Jeep GC, we opted for the basic U-Connect $149/yr subscription. However, if you want other services like Wi-Fi Hotspot, Pandora, etc., you have to pay extra. Other than thinking it costs way too much for what you get, we have had no issues or problems. You can haggle over price with Sirius, but I haven't been able to figure out any U-Connect special deals.
