Very Nice! I bought a Jeep JK after the Anchor Down rally. I can't tow a Jeep with the REV but I'll have fun with it in Maine every summer. I plan to ask lots of questions about Jeeps at the next rally. Dynamax and Jeep, a great combination!

Great looking Jeep. I too, bought one after the rally. Can’t wait until the next rally to see all those new Jeeps

Looks great! I’m a JL fan....
I hope yours is not affected by the bad welds on the frame....
We have a JK Unlimited Rubicon and while we could use more power for towing our Rpod, we love the truck and frequently hit the trails in AZ with it...

So, after so many posts and opinions over tire size, gearing, 2.0L and 8 speed tranny, whats the update on how it drives/performs/shifts on pavement with the 37's? Inquiring minds want to know

There were a lot of negative comments on Youtube about what new owners didn't like about their new JL's.

But there is another video on Youtube where the engineer from Jeep in charge of the JL design and an independent product reviewer evaluated every supposed issue and complaint and basically debunked them all. I'm not sure if the supposed "bad welding on the frame" was also addressed. I'm sure it will be fine.

Hey Randy,

I don’t think anyone is going to debunk this one....

OK, so its a legitimate recall, happens all of the time. And it says "some" may be impacted. If his is, or if they mandate it on all of them, it will get fixed properly.

The rest of the chatter on that thread is the usual horse pucky " I looked and all my welds are rusty so replace my entire vehicle", etc. Most new vehicles don't come with the underside or suspension components coated or painted, some rust is normal.

Point is, his vehicle will be fine and no reason to panic or over react like the people on the thread who were going to buy the "JL of their dreams" but now they won't own one. The recall notice clearly says any new vehicles in dealers inventories must have this fixed before they are delivered.

I’m certainly not panicking - The only negative reaction I am having is to keep my money in my pocket until they get things worked out.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I am holding onto my JK.....

I checked my VIN and I’m not impacted by the recall. My mfg date is 8/18. Anyway, about your question about how it drives with the 37s. I think it’s awesome. It is very peppy and has enough torque to move those tires down the road without downshifting all the time. Keep in mind it boasts a higher torque ratio and at lower rpms than compared to to the V6. I had hoped that the bsg would do more to help address off the line lag but it doesn’t really. It needs a couple of seconds to spool up but then it goes! The guy at the Jeep shop that did my build was waiting on the turbo diesel but said that the 2.0 T changed his mind and he’s going that route now probably. He’s driven a 4.0 TJ for 30 years. Lol.

Glad to hear that setup works good for you. Nice looking rig!
