thanks Brian, it goes to show that not only us, and our rv techs, but also FR's own techs can easily think we've 'handled' an electrical situation, and yet .... 'not really'!
(especially when it comes to batteries)
Some folks think that an inverter is just 'unlimited' power, but yet complain when things 'fail' and therefore it must be the factory's fault.

Someone else on a similar forum was complaining that their inverter was inferior, and the manufacturer should have installed one that would 'do everything they expected to do with it', without regards to the fact that inverters, at least the majority of sized units for RVs, are NOT designed for electric heaters!
Now the owner also wants to know 'why' they were not told this information BEFORE they purchased the coach. Yes, some folks you just can't help. Everybody 'else' is to blame.

I call it the "lawyer's plight." Customers/clients only tell you the information they think is important. They need to tell the entire story and let the expert determine what is and is not important. It's human nature. It won't ever change. Help me help you!

Brian, good story on how you and the folks at Dynamax make the extra effort to support customers with warranty problems. I have been a beneficiary of this support and am grateful.
Also a good lesson for us owners who do modifications to our units. We need to have the knowledge and skills to do the mods without screwing something up and the wisdom to know when to let a professional do the job.

Anyone that is so ignorant to think they can run a resistive electric heater off one or two deep cycle batteries was most likely too ignorant to realize that what they had done was anything terrible.

Note that I used "ignorant" and not stupid. You can be very intelligent but uninformed about a particular subject. Trust me on this...after retiring from aerospace/defense engineering I ran into many brilliant people....that couldn't make a pot of coffee. :-)
