that wire is stranded and all the other were romex, so just used wire nuts and electrical tape, pretty much what they had.
BTW, the recpt in the first storage bay to the left of the steps is now also on the passenger side breaker. So 4 on the passenger side and 3 on the drivers side. 15a is 15a no matter.

Keeps it toasty.
I set this up last year and have used it while driving in zero degree weather as well as parked in an open parking lot facing broadside to the constant wind for a week in zero degree weather with a negative 10 degree wind chill. The bay never temperature never dropped below 50 degrees. I had it set on medium heat and the temp dial at medium as well.

We have Aquahot coming in to discuss some other things. I'll pose that question.

Hey FOURWHL, are you back from Breck yet, and do you have a report on your wet bay mod?

Still out here. Getting some good field testing done. Had -15F two nights ago and the campground transformer blew so we lost power. Was an interesting day yesterday to say the least.
I’ll put a full writeup together when I get back next week but so far it’s working pretty good but I’ve got a few tweaks to get it where it needs to be. So far the observations are:
- bathroom temp is great.
- biggest hurdle is temp differential in the bay from the outlet to the other areas. Seeing like 30 degrees gradient plus when it’s real cold. Tstat at 65 but other areas below freezing. Looking at ways to get some circulation to combat this. May look at some minor foam insulation as well.
All in all working MUCH better. Been using just the aqua hot all trip until yesterday when I had to use the space heater to defrost the hose reel. I suspect the power failed and subsequent freezing of my heated water line allowed the reel to freeze also.
More to come soon!

We used to put in a thermostatically controlled ceramic/fan forced heater in the wet bay. That had its own share of problems.

Yeah I think aqua hot is way better if we can get it sorted. Leaning towards a second duct over by the hose reel. Then the tstat on the back wall as it’s short cycling too much with them as close as they are now.

Where did you mount the thermostat? And if you go with another duct by the hose reel, it might be better to add another exchanger to feed just the
wet bay.
I hate to rub it in, but its 75 deg here and have the A/C on
me and snow don't get it any more. LOL

We mounted the Aqua Hot lo temp tstat in the wet bay, wired to zone 3. Fans wired to zone 3. When temp drops to 38, zone 3 kicks in (pump 2 on). Fans circulate air over Agua hot hoses + warm air from aqua hot compartment. At 20 degrees outside tanks stayed 38 at coldest part. Still testing, just an idea.

So you have 12v fans (3)? mounted in the AH compartment and the thermostat mounted in the wet bay, and you are just circulating the warm air from where the AH unit sits? So does it do a good job?
I was thinking about adding another cozy exchanger with two heat ducts, one on each side of the bay. However the hydronic lines have to be re routed thru that exchanger, was thinking about under the bed, so it would be close to what is there. Just a thought?

Ill probably just reroute one of the bathroom ducts. Have one vent closed and the bathroom is holding temp just fine. My tstat is right above the light on the black plastic. Way too close to the duct.

wondering if using and mounting the 12v fans that walt has and incorporate it with what you have, and moving your thermostat opposite of where it is now, it might work good. The stat that Walt has, is a probe type with the bulb on it, so you could almost mount the stat anywhere and put the bulb where you think it would be on the stat?

Hey Walt,
How long is the probe on the stat and where did you get the fans?

The thermo tube is 30 - 36 inches long. I mounted it in the wet bay as I have it set at 38 and probably won't change it much. It just circulates the really hot air in the Aqua hot compartment around the tanks & wet bay & back on the other side of the tanks

Where did you purchase the fans?
