What an idiot!

So we’re packed up getting ready to head to VA to ride the Rzr.

I load up after installing my tpms sensors (thanks to the forum) and pull out to stop at a shop down the toad that sells those recycled plastic jumps you pull your trailer on to change tires.

As soon as I pull out, something feels weird. I stop, pick up my parts and head back to the shop to double check the hitch.

Well apparently my dumb ass forgot to swap out the hitch when I towed the jet skis to Anchors Down.

So this happened.

Arrgghhh, it wouldn’t be so bad but after I fell and hurt my shoulder on the jetski ramp at Anchors Down, yesterday, I hit a huge wave and ripped some muscles loose. Now I have a bone pushing through my skin. Not going to be a fun weekend.

Yikes! Looks like the hitch at least took the brunt of it. Surely that’s cheaper to even replace completely than the rear cap.

I’m more interested to see if your arm is even going to be attached by Aug at the rate you’re going...

That sucks. Too bad your hitch weren't painted orange, though.

Oh man! What a bummer. But you can rest easy knowing that Gorilla tape now comes in orange!!

So, what's the prognosis on your arm?

Thanks y’all...

I straightened the hitch out before I left and blew some black paint on it. I’ll fix the body when I get a chance.

I scheduled my rotator cuff surgery for Aug and I wasn’t already booked for a cruise over the week of July 4th, I’d probably do it now. Apparently the bone sticking out of my back is from my muscles being bruised or aggravated. Nothing’s broken except my pride.

All this because I was trying to break 85mphbon the ski. Last year, it was broken ribs, this year apparently isn’t any different. Clearly I’m not 20 any longer. On our way to VA to ride the Rzr, Amy may have to drive. (That potentially may be more dangerous...lol)

Thanks!

Mark

PS. My plate tag is physically expired but I renewed it several months ago, the new sticker is sitting at my post office in TN.

Did double rotator cuff surgery 7 weeks apart after getting hit snow skiing. my Dr told me not to wait as the muscle will atrophy. Good luck with it.

Dang Crush you having a bad week. I tore my bicep loose and had to have that surgery but never the rotator cuff. I have one that needs it from years of lifting weights but I am afraid to do it. I have heard its not really an easy surgery to get over. More to it then people think.

Also speaking of an idiot... LOL I once pulled my Ranger to Lewis Co. Kentucky which is about 350 miles and when I got there and backed the Ranger off the trailer, the trailer jumped off the hitch.. Yep pulled it 350 miles with a 2" ball. Only trouble was the trailer needed 2 5/16 ball.

I guess only thing that kept it hooked up was the weight of the tongue on the trailer.

Body damage to your motorhome looks like a small hill for a mtn climber like you to fix though. Good luck and hope you have a better weekend.
