Our first purchase was a new 2008 Rockwood 8313ss travel trailer. Then after our trip to Talladega in May of 2010 , we bought a 2011 Sandpiper 355QBQ 5th wheel bunkhouse. Our Force 37 BHHD has definitely been the COOLEST purchase we made to date.

Our first motorhome was a 2009 Monaco Camelot. Liked it for how we used it. Not at all sorry we went to the 2016 Force.

We bought the Newmar because it was an “upper end” RV manufacturer.

Compared to my DX3, I didn’t like the way it drove, it was very floaty and soft. (Which might be a plus to some people) but that’s not the reason I hated it.

I hated it because EVERY time we went to take it out, something was broke or quit working. We bought it brand new but it was one thing after another. I know most of the systems are made by the same manufacturer (ie, aquahot) but we had problems from every item.

The last and final straw was an $8K repair on a generator with 300 hours. Though it was covered under warranty, the dependability was horrible.

At first I thought I had a Friday model but my good friend with the identical unit (one step up, Dutchstar) had even more problems than I did to the point he dumped his also.

I’ve only had my DX3 and other than a Precision monitor needing replaced, my issues have only been a few fit and finish items that should have been caught during PDI.

Learned my lesson.

Mark

2013 solera mbs
I loved it but wife got sick and tired of the corner bed. She also hated dinette. The 2018 isata3 w with the couch much better. Happy wife happy life.

Lifestyle 5ver. The only problem was we couldn't pull our RZR behind. (California)

Before our 5ver we had an Okanagan triple slide. Loved it, but DW didn't. Too hard to make the bed. I lost - - again . Carried it with a RAM dually with extra springs and a Helwig sway bar. But at 5000 lbs it was a tad to heavy. I was pushing it.

First MH was a 38 Dutch Star.

Wife decided she wanted to go to more State parks and be more "agile" so we sold the DS and got a Roadtrek with solar and hi-tech lithium batteries. Spent two months in the shop after every trip only to break the first day on the next one.

Traded for the Isata 5 last November, finally got it in June.

We liked it, would still have it if we weren't planning on full time RVing in a couple years.

The host was very heavy also, it took a while to get the truck set up right to haul it.

We will be picking up a 5 30fw Friday. The old coaches Prism 220 has 79,000 miles both my wife and I have had it with the corner bed. Looking forward to putting 100,000 on the new unit. Starting Saturday.LOLClick image for larger version

Forest River Salem 23 fbs. We bought it 2009 and finally had it EXACTLY the way we wanted it. Had added solar, sleep number bed, lots of mods for organizing, day night shades, etc. Then we made the mistake of going to the Pomona RV show where our friend told us to check out the Dynamax Isata 5. Just for fun, he says. Sigh... Next thing you know, trailer gone and here we are!

But we love it!!

We moved "up" from our 2000 F350 (purchased in 1999) and 2014 Lance 1052 camper. The truck was becoming 'long in the tooth' and we were considering getting a F550 chassis cab and putting a Douglas utility box on the rear designed to hold the camper. The wife always wanted a motorhome so we started looking at Renegade, Tiffin, Thor, Jayco and then, ta-daa... Dynamax. And here we are.
I have to admit I liked that Lance but I love our DX3!
