Where can I get a new table pedestal?
We have an Isata 3 with a dinette. The table is too high, so we thought we could cut it down to 27 1/2 inches. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize the bottom was tapered and that’s the end we cut off, so now it doesn’t fit properly and the table wobbles. I looked online to purchase a new one, but can’t find one for the Dynamax. The Dynamax parts manager has not returned my phone call.

If the pipe is tapered on the bottom. You could cut with hacksaw 1 inch deep grooves in bottom of the pipe. Tap the ears you created inward a little with hammer to make slight taper. Hopefuly you can use table this way till you get new one.

Thanks. We actually tried that and after several alterations, it finally worked. But now we’re worried we’ll never get it out to make the dinette into a bed!
For the purpose of resale someday, we’d like another one that is shorter, or one that we can properly cut down from the top.

Best bet is to order it through your dealer as we’re not really set up for retail parts. It’s a Springfield table pedestal. Is there a part number stamped on the plastic cap that was on the post?

For a more versatile table mounts we have used marine seat equipment on bus conversions.
Usually very robust with an air spring to aid positioning and a sliding mount for the seat , which can enable the table top to slide into the cabin more.

Try this one.
It appeared on the same page with this item.
The Springfield site is here.

I have been thinking that a sliding table mount would be nice to have. I have difficulty getting into and out of the dinette due to the table overhang over the seats. Something that would lock in place while underway but easy to move when desired.
Any suggestions?
