Wow !! I did that ONCE with my Newmar Essex. It was like trying to keep a beer can warm on the inside. Also didn't like dragging my wet stinky sled gear inside. Good on you guys for giving it a go.
Very cool! Though I dread trying to get chains on the rear wheels...
I have a friend that recently recommended just using the rear leveling jacks to lift the wheels for putting on chains - is that a good idea or a horribly bad idea?

My experience is it's a bad idea. My jacks have froze to the ice once and I have had to use a post to pry them back up another time as they would not retract on their own.
We did that all winter long in Alaska never needed chains. It's a blast
