Window Knob

So it seems one of my windows was sticking and when I tried to open it I may have stripped something. When I go to close it now I'm able to feel something slip and it keeps turning. I can get the window to a "snug" point and it'll stay closed for a little bit but after a while down the road it starts flapping.

Haven't taken it apart to see exactly what's up. How hard of a fix is this? Is there a place to order parts or do I need to go through a dealer?

Those knobs screw on...I think the shaft is metal, so it should be the knob that stripped (crossing fingers). Those are Kinro windows. 3000 series. Typically through a dealer to get parts or direct to Kino if they sell direct.

Hey FOURWHL,

I had the same issue with the window in the forward Bunk, a blue DX3 flew by at 80+mph on the Interstate Hwy70 in Co. and my window flew open.

You wouldn't know who that might be would you ?

It had happened on my way home from TX as well. The screws holding the Knob(s) were loose on more than half the widows, you're going to have to check them all. On the sticky ones, I used armor all on the rubber and that did the trick.

I ended up using blue loctite on the knobs. I also used it on the sliding doors and the shower door. We had a lot of screws work their way loose, blue works great, no more screws falling out. Dont use red, it requires heat to break it loose if you need to remove the screws.
