Cold here in Monroe Michigan. With wind chill it’s down to 10* and 4” of fresh snow overnight. Dynamax I 5 priceless! It’s doing just fine. Thanks Dynamax.

Same here in Fort Collins, Colorado on our XL. It got down to below 10 for most of the night. Can definitely feel the cold coming in on the bed slide when it is out - much colder and we will bring them them all in for the night. Wish list: in-floor heating .... these ceramic tiles get mighty cold!

I'll be tailgating the weekend of Nov 23rd in the 28SS. So we'll see how that one stacks up with the Xplorer package. At least two nights where it should be cold.

Wow! Was the furnace able to keep it "reasonably" warm inside? Did you run the electric heater as well as the furnace? What was your inside temp overnight?

Is that a 36ds? Are you doing fine with water or did you winterize?

Used the AH on electric with the diesel burner on as a backup. The wife likes to keep around 66-68 ....
Kept the water tank full and small 120v 300w ceramic heater in the bay for the water valves, macerator and filter. Water hose disconnected and pulled in. No issues but the walls in the bedroom slide are not very well insulated .... probably should have pulled this slide in. Have one of these but turn it off at night ...

Might give some thought to a "warmed" toilet seat too in weather like that.



I spend a winter in the south Denver area while waiting for a house to be built. Cold floor I could handle by just wearing socks. "The Seat" was a whole different story

That winter the low was -15. Only lost water on that morning and funny thing, it was AFTER I'd showered. Went to draw water for coffee and none there. Weird. Only time the whole winter I had to resort to "tank water".

I do like the idea of the heated toilet seat though.

Yes, a 36 DS. Small space heater in the water bay and the sewer bay. Plus I bought a heated water hose. So no I didn’t winterize the plumbing. I did cover the slide toppers so I can bring in the slides without icing being an issue. I did burn through about 3 gallons of propane day heating the coach. Furnace ran lot.

Interesting. What did you cover the toppers with, what kept it from blowing off, and how did you remove it? Any problems with the cover sticking to the topper?

Well we saw with the snow coming down so hard we’d have a snow and ice removal problem when we wanted to break camp. So my wife came up with a good idea. I went to Lowe’s and purchased 2 cheap tarps, some bungee cords, some clamps, 8 bricks and 3 8’ 2x4’s. I borrowed a ladder and covered the slide toppers with the tarps, clamping the edges, weighted the top with the bricks/2x4’s, fastened the fly with the bungee’s. You can see some of this if you zoom in on the photo. When we left all I had to do was pull the tarps off, the bricks and lumber came down with all the snow. Slides and toppers and importantly the roller ends were clean and closed nicely. We are done with cold and snow.

Thanks, I’m hearing through the grapevine that mine is scheduled for some time in March or so. I have heated garage and want to take out in winter without winterizing it. Mostly to travel south but suspect will get caught in some snow even with the best planning.
