Xite radio in Isata 3 FW

After a year of trying several radio antennas I have finally found one which works for me. Have excellent FM reception and 5 AM stations with minor static noise. AM sports and news stations also foreign language stations.
Had no AM station reception before.
Bought an extension radio antenna cable and a radio antenna. Fed extension antenna cable under dash up A pillar and above passenger door. Fed antenna cable out of top B pillar along the edge of bunk bed behind tv and glued antenna to ceiling.
Best reception at that particular spot. Extra cable bundled up and placed behind plastic roofliner above passenger door.

No. Not difficult. Removed 2 screws from trim piece edge bunk platform left of B pillar and 1 screw top of B pillar to create space to feed cable through. Cable is between mattress edge and bunked fascia. A pillar by front window pops off, open space between dash and pillar to run cable.

Only watch the screws from radio and heater control. I dropped one not easy to locate inside dash. Radio trim pops off.

I have the same problem. I had my unit back at the factory and they relocated the antenna under the dash, but it did not improve the reception. Only one or two stations that are about 10 miles or less away can be received. Also, my XM reception only works if I am driving south or west. A real pain in the butt. Looking at re-doing and installing roof antennas. I do not understand why this is not addressed during manufacturing. I was told that people do not use the AM and FM any more and just use Apple Play. Maybe I’ll try your answer to the problem first. Seems like a lot of wires hanging around and exposed. Thanks for the info.

When I held the radio antenna outside coach door at TV level the AM reception
Improved even more
I do not dare to drill a hole in the RV wall to mount sidemount radio antenna.
That is why I kept on trying indoor ones.

I would love to try this antenna with cable
installed behind TV
Between bunkbed window and awning. But requires 4 base mounting screws and a hole drilled through the RV wall. That is the problem I am wary about.
