2013 35 qsik Bunk Tv mount

We just got our 2013 35 QSIK, in the bunk house it has a location for a TV to be mounted inside a small cut out.. I am unable to find a TV mounting backer. It feels solid but wheni tried to mount the bracket it was very obvious that nothing is back there. Dealer said there was one, but wasnt sure of exact location. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I assume the earlier info for mounting in the bedroom would hold true to my QSIK ?

Use a magnet to find the backer

I didn't think aluminum was magnetic...?

But I thought I also read that stud finders still work- even with the aluminum studs.

Yes magnet will work, thats how I found it in my KZ. Works better than a stud finder. Was told by KZ that sometimes they move the stickers and you need to search. Also, i have had the manufacturer send me schematics on the framing on everyone I have had. It helps a lot.

Funny,I thought the same thing you did, then KZ told me to try a magnet. After a week of trying to find this thing with a stud finder, I find it easily with a magnet. Only bad thing was I had a magnet in the tool box the whole time but didn't use it because I didn't think it would work. Duh!

I thought the TV mounting backer was wood? It was in my rockwood?

I also used the dimensions I had found earlier in this the posted by Sabresam as to where the mounting backer is in the bedroom. nothing is there!

Guess its different in the 2013 35 qsik.

I did use a magnet in the bunk house and didnt find anything in the small cut out area for the TV
