I just want to be clear I am a dealer, I am not with Forest River so I cannot speak on their behalf. As for what you should be looking for, I can help with that. When you check the roof look for any cracks or gaps in the sealant. You can seal the roof with a self-leveling lap sealant. Two company's that make the sealant are Dicor and Alpha. You can also use a roof tape such as Stick n Bond. Make sure to clean the area before sealing with denatured alcohol. As for the sides of the unit (around windows, baggage doors, etc) you need to use 100% RTV Silicon. You need to look for spots where the silicon has peeled away and for any gaps from the frame of windows or doors and exterior moldings.
I hope this has been helpful.
